[Important Notice] GET Token Re-Issuance and Transition to a New Smart Contract

Thank you for your continued support of the Global Entertainment Token (GET) project.

To enhance the future scalability, operational flexibility, and international credibility of the GET token, we have re-issued the token under a new smart contract architecture.

This re-issuance has been conducted based on technical consultations with EMURGO Labs—the Singapore-based R&D hub of the EMURGO group—and EMURGO Africa, which supports the Web3 ecosystem in the African region. As part of our preparations for exchange listings, international partnerships, and security audits, the objective is to transition to a more advanced and secure token governance model.

Holders of the previous GET token (airdrop recipients) have already received the new token in equal amounts automatically. Moving forward, we kindly ask that you use the new GET token as the official version.

Why the Token Was Re-Issued: Strengthening Security and Governance

The original GET token was issued as a native token on the Cardano blockchain in full compliance with its standards, and passed security audits without any issues.

However, with an eye on the future—including DAO implementation, decentralized governance, and multi-location operations—we determined that an upgrade to a more secure and flexible token structure would be beneficial.

Key Technical Enhancements

  • The private key (policy.skey) used to control metadata changes (e.g., name, description, URL) has been replaced with a multi-signature structure
→ Significantly strengthens security, preventing unauthorized metadata tampering or accidental changes
→ Enables a distributed approval model, enhancing operational transparency and future-proof governance

This enhanced structure was discovered and validated through technical discussions and implementation testing with EMURGO Labs and EMURGO Africa. It represents a proactive, forward-looking upgrade aligned with the global expansion and sustainability goals of the GET project.

・If your token appears missing, please restart or update your GET Wallet to refresh your balance.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  1. The ticker is still “GET”. Won’t this be confusing?
    A. Although the ticker remains the same, the Policy ID and Asset ID clearly distinguish the new token from the old one. Only the new token will be recognized within GET Wallet and supported services moving forward.
  2. What will happen to the old token?
    A. The old token will be progressively phased out from circulation, including logo and name updates to prevent accidental use.
  3. Do I need to apply for the new token?
    A. No action is required. The GET team has already distributed the new token automatically to eligible holders.
